BIO
Vicente Pascual Rodrigo. Born in 1955 in Saragossa, Spain, his work began to be presented in private art galleries and museums in 1970. In 1992, after a decade practicing in Mallorca, Pascual moved his studio to the United States where his art underwent a severe external change, reducing forms to fundamental geometry.
Since 2003 he works in Zaragoza province, Spain.
Vicente Pascual combines in his paintings a contemporary sensibility and training with an interest in pre-modern aesthetics. Austere and unaffected, his work challenges the viewer with its gentle subversion of contemporary art practices that stand forth as a gesture that is both emptying and enriching.
