St. Maria Art Institute in Antwerp, Belgium
Art History and Anatomy: The Art Institute of Fine Art in Mechelen, Belgium
Sculpture and Art history: The Academy of Beau Art in Gent and St. Nicholas, Belgium
Painting and sculpture: The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium
Upon graduation in 1983 -, Tourya embarked on an advertising career, working as a creative director for some of the leading agencies around the world in Belgium, South East Asia, Singapore, and Thailand. Yet in the late 1990s she decided to focus on her art solely and began exploring techniques in various media. Approaching her artistry from an art historian perspective — and as an enthusiast of what the great Masters mastered — Tourya applies her extensive knowledge to all mediums, always searching for unique ways in conveying in-depth vision.
