Currently accepting submissions that explore Feminine Identity in the 21st century for an International Juried Exhibition.

We are accepting all forms of media for this exhibition: 2d, 3d, video, film, design, new media, etc.

We are also looking for PERFORMANCE PROPOSALS for a live performance event to be held at Salisbury University on March 3, 2016. If your proposal is selected for inclusion in this event, you must be available on this date to perform at the University.

The selection jury is composed of 6 woman scholars and artists in the fields of art history, studio art, performance art, women’s studies and film studies.

OPEN CALL FOR EXHIBITION PROPOSALS

Salisbury University Art Galleries invites proposals for solo, group, and curated exhibitions, open to all media including but not limited to: ceramics, glass, sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, new media, video, performance, sound, and installation. We are especially interested in proposals to exhibit new projects and work that has never before been exhibited. Proposals are accepted for any and all of the University’s exhibition spaces, the University Gallery, located in Fulton Hall, the Downtown Campus, located at 118 N. Division Street in downtown Salisbury, and the Electronic Gallery, located in the Teacher Education Technology Center.

The Creative Review Board, made up of a variety of arts professionals reviews proposals annually in a two-part process. Completing this application is the first round. If accepted for round two of the proposal process, you will be asked to submit more detailed information, such as a longer proposal description and more supporting images. If accepted for an exhibition at the SU Art Galleries you will be provided with a modest stipend for travel/shipping costs, printed publications such as postcards, gallery guides and exhibition catalogues, and you will receive the full support of our staff to fully realize your exhibition.

If accepted, proposals submitted now will be programmed into Fall of 2016, Spring of 2017, and Fall of 2017.

Alternative Topographies: an
exploration of place(s) real, imagined,
representational and abstract.


Alternative Topographies is a time-
based, juried media exhibition that takes the
broad idea of topography to delve into
questions about place: how we define
place, the roles we play in the
preservation and transformation of
place, and how place is represented in
our memories, imaginations, and
shifting experiences of reality.

(Call for works is open to the following moving image media: video, film, and animation. We are especially interested in works with original sound elements. Submissions must be under 10 minutes in length and in quicktime video format. Application fee is $25)

The panel will include 3-5
artists/academics that have expertise
in the following areas: cinema/film,
video, animation and/or photography.
