A Square Deal, as part of Philadelphia Open Studios Tour 10th annual event on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday October 4 will present over 200 works by established and emerging artists from around the world. All work, executed on 20-centimeter square panels in a variety of media will provide a rare opportunity to sample each artist’s unique style, vision and technique. In keeping with A Square Deal’s commitment to art affordability all ‘squares’ are priced between $40 and $400 dollars. In a special presentation on Saturday at 2:00 pm, ASD co-founder Colleen Hammond will demonstrate the creation of a 20cmX20cm oil painting.

“Homelands” visits Hazardous waste sites, power plants, containment systems, and poisoned communities in Cheshire, OH, Moundsville, WV, Middleton PA, and Monroe, MI. We all know these places (Hey, it's showing here in NJ!)
The images evoke a feeling of abandonment, open space, and desolation
- a study of the natural landscape vs. Industrial America. Erin is currently a visiting Artist and Instructor at the Heron School of Art & Design. Along with touring the country speaking about this collection, Erin is
expanding on this series by currently focusing her attention on oil consumption vs. wind power in Texas.
