Which are the best web pages on the net?
Among others, today I would choose this one below (Yesterday I re-browsered
it). I think it is one of the best pages I have browsered, because of the
set of the works there, all of them done by the same artist: Jim Andrews.
http://vispo.com/vismu (interactive visual music)
For me, that set of Jim Andrews works has an excellent quality, we can
analyze any aspect of them : technical, design, poetry and specially
creativity and sound. Very cool !

Re: New web.art works
Hi Michael,
>Those are very enjoyable pieces Regina.
Thanks for your enjoyment!
> I particularly like 'offerings'. There's a really fantastic sense of
rhythmic rightness about the "dance" section although I very much like both
of them.
My last one work/experiment, Offerings, was the most worked of the last
three one. I enjoyed myself a lot doing it. I clapped hands when Yemanja
Orixa danced and sang and again when I get to do a mixed animation using
the movie clip of the sea I done, some photos and Flash programming.
Brazilian culture is very rich and very easy to work with. And Brazilian
music and rhythm, aaaahh, both wonderful! I know you are very interested
about music, then, if you send me your snail mail adress I will send you a
CD ROM of wonderful Brazilian music. I always do this because I think to
understand my country it is necessary to understand our music.
The other last two works were done very fast, they are so simple. Prove the
Peace was a page of the book I did last february for Reiner, now I only
animated it. Olympia Matrix is a conceptual experiment, and I like it a lot,
I only substitute three images (the black woman, the chat and the flowers)
of the very well known Manet painting for the characters of Matrix, but I
could write a lot about the result of this changing. It is a work -
experiment to my new ebook Metamorphosis Reloaded.
>I also like the terseness of all the pieces -the way that you've made
keeping down the file size into a positive virtue.
Yes, it is one of my preoccupations, not to do very large files, using all
the medias: movies, photos, sound, etc.
> Do you know the work of the Catalan artist Joan Brossa?
Very little, but I know that for Brossa, genres and dividing lines between
the arts did not exist. In spite of beeing a visual artist, my works for
Internet follow this idea of Brossa.
Thank you so much,
Regina
