BIO
Producer and electronic music composer, Olivier Pasquet taught himself composition and later computer music while working in various recording studios. From 1996 to 1999, he studied composition in Cambridge, uk. Since, at Ircam and elsewhere, he works alone and collaborates with artists coming from various esthetic worlds (digital art, popular or contemporary music). He is also often involved in shows : danse, opera, theatre music and classical contemporary theatre. With 65 creations, he has worked with people like Georges Aperghis, Brice Pauset, Ludovic Lagarde, William Forsythe, Rand Steiger, Florian Hecker… He writes electronic music or IDM using his own concepts or algorithms. His pieces, shown in concert halls or museums around the world, are more and more focussed on physical forms allowing some kind of materialization. One of his research interests is composition for voiced or spoken text and “parametric” composition strongly linked with architectural design. He organized the first european Max/MSP/Jitter workshop Andreas Breitscheid and Manuel Poletti at FNM. He got the Villa Medicis, the Arcadi, a residency at Tokyo Wonder Site and Chile.

Paris - Anima Mundi - Klangforum Wien

After Berlin, Budapest and Vienna, Anima Mundi, Brice Pauset's 3rd Symphony, will be performed in Paris.
Klangforum Wien will play and Emilio Pomarico will do the direction. Olivier Pasquet, computer music designer, has done the electronics and will do the live interpretation.
Dense and complex written live electronics for complex music: each note from all of the 23 instruments is spacialized and transformed. A new original perceptive spatialisation system is beeing used. The electronics and instrumental writing give something theatric in the music.
