+++ opportunity for London-based artists +++
Deadline:
Tue Mar 02, 2004 11:11
The Lightsurgeons exciting video realism project THE LIVING ROOM invites London based artists to enhance their skills in documentary-style film-making. The Living Room will uncover peoples homes and personal tastes, habits and cultures. We are looking for volunteers to help produce the material for this gallery exhibition and a live audio-visual performance.
This specially commissioned exhibition is an anthropological study that aims to excavate our fragmented identities from the interiors and artefacts in our urban dwellings. Using an innovative four-camera set up, it draws on local peoples stories through its investigative, documentary approach and a series of out-reach workshops. The exhibition will close with a one-off live performance drawing on themes of cultural identity and the home. We are also looking to tour this piece nationally.
We need people to work on the following areas:
-Research
-Filming
-Post-production

Bea Gibson- satirical software for Indian call centres
Bea Gibson, founder of the Nungu, will discuss her accent neutralisation software made with Sejal Chad and Adrian Ward.
