BIO
I've been making, designing or researching spaces for over 10 years - from art installations and media experiences, to working as a social researcher with an eye (and ear) for design. This means I specialise in understanding what people are thinking, and how they are thinking about it. I observe, listen to and talk with people to help create better design.
I've undertaken qualitative design studies as an academic, a consultant in the private sector, and in pro bono time dedicated to non-profit organisations. Projects have included evaluations of new museum spaces, user interaction with urban screens, urban cycling behaviour, developing communications strategy for public behaviour change and agenda setting, and community-oriented urban design and architecture.
