BIO
Naomi Cook was born in Toronto in 1982. Her multi-disciplinary practice reflects a conflicted vision of reality inspired by the work of Francisco Goya, Otto Dix, Cy Twombly and Geoffrey Farmer – among others. Cook’s technique stems from interest in engravings, sound, technology and science fiction. In 2005 she founded Red Bird Gallery and Studios in Montreal, working as director and curator until 2010. Subsequently her career as artist and curator took her to Berlin where she worked as assistant to Ralf Ziervogal, collaborating on several projects and proposals including an immersive architectural work of art. She currently lives and works in Montreal.
