BIO
MÓNICA MENDES is a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, where she's been teaching in the Multimedia Arts degree. She has taught Interface Design for Mobile Devices workshops and Implied Technologies master courses, Introduction to Multimedia and Multimedia Programming, Typography, Design Theory and Practice and Design Project.
She's now a researcher holding a PhD fellowship in Digital Media in the framework of the UT Austin-Portugal Program funded by Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. She has a Masters in Multimedia Educational Communication and degree in Communication Design. She was an Erasmus student in Norwich, Erasmus teacher in Berlin and in Tenerif.
Additionally, Mónica Mendes developed projects as a designer at Atelier B2, as a free-lancer, and as an interface design consultant.
She is a member of the CIEAM Research Center and has participated in research projects on augmented environments and mobile storytelling of the Interactive Multimedia Group (IMG). She's also founder and coordinator of the Loev Project - Live Online Events.
