Mark Rumsey is an artist and community activist based in Grand Rapids. He completed an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and Philosophy, at Grand Valley State University in 1997 and an MFA in Printmaking at Kendall College of Art and Design in 2008. Rumsey also undertook graduate studies at Montana State University and The Ohio State University.
Rumsey has recently exhibited his work in Indianapolis, Evanston, Montreal, Tulsa, Chicago, Muskegon, New York, St. Louis, Provo, Bay City, and Seattle. In July of 2009 Mark was an Artist in Residence at Frans Masereel Centrum, the Flemish Center for Graphic Arts, in Belgium. Upcoming exhibitions include Portland, OR; Sam Houston State University, TX; and St. Louis, MO.
