SIMULTAN FESTIVAL 2015 - Call for video submissions

SIMULTAN is an annual festival held in Timisoara, Romania - dedicated to media art, experimental music & sound.
The 11th edition of the Simultan Festival will take place between 7-10 October 2015, under the theme 'TALKING TO STRANGERS'.

What would Voyager 3 contain if it would be re-launched today, after 38 years?
In 1977, an information package was launched into space, a symbolical selection for the human civilization, launched with the intention to be intercepted or discovered by an alien civilization. A sort of “hello” from the humans, a way of saying “we are here”. [....]

Video Submission Guidelines
Simultan is open for submissions of innovative video works, which are related to the festival theme.

- duration: 10 minutes (each)

SIMULTAN is a festival dedicated to media art and artistic experiment, which aims to create a bond between different media and encourage new and innovative forms of artistic expression, in the field of visual, sound art and music
Based on a different theme every year, the festival presents video art projections, music live performances, interdisciplinary works, installations, lectures.

The 8th edition of the Simultan Festival will take place from 11-13 October 2012, under the theme 'The Beginning of The End'

GENERAL INFO
The Simultan Festival is an annual festival for video, media art, experimental music and a/v projects. The festival wishes to sustain and to stimulate the creative ways of the most modern visions of perceiving and recording the cultural realities in contemporary art. It presents the current processes and the way in which technology and society give rise to new forms of artistic expression by using the new media.Based on a different theme every year, the festival presents video art projections, live performances, interdisciplinary works, installations, lectures.This year’s edition runs under the theme "imaginary" and will take place between 6-8 OCT.. 2011, in Timisoara, Romania.
TERMS OF ENTRY 
Those interested may apply with a maximum number of 2 works; each of them must not exceed 10 minutes in length,in the following categories:
- video art, experimental video
- motion graphics and experimental animation 
- generative video based on sound and image manipulation
- programmed data visualization
