Cultivating Strategy

Hack.Art.Lab is pleased to announce a call for proposals for Cultivating Strategy. Cultivating Strategy will be on view January 25-February 27 2010 at Butler Community College's White Gallery in Eldorado, Ks.

Phase I:
Artists are asked to create proposals for an interactive work that incorporates a chain reaction, or Rube Goldberg aesthetic while traversing the concept of 'verticle gardening'.

Proposals due Aug. 1st.

PROPOSALS SHOULD INCLUDE:
A minimum of 3 jpegs (scetches/ images) and paragraph about your interpretation of the theme. Keep in mind that artists will be working collaboratively with technologists and engineers, so no idea is out of reach. Artists that live outside of the region are also welcome to apply-these artists will need to work more independently than local or regional applicants.

Phase II:
All artists that submitted proposals will be notified of their acceptance via email no later than SEPT. 1.

Phase III:
Selected artists will be paired with engineers and technologist. Scheduled meeting times TBA.
