Jose Raymond Rodriguez-Rosario, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico (1970) is a traditionally trained illustrator (Fashion Institute of Technology, 1988-1992) with a science background (Bronx High School of Science, 1984-1988). Years before his formal arts education he discovered the endless possibilities made available by use of a computer as a tool or medium. He has been interested in, and creating, art-related data visualizations and generative code since 1984 and has recently begun exhibiting his latest digital work. His influences include Jenny Holzer, Guillermo Kuitca, John Maeda, Rafael Tufiño, Edward Tufte.
