Typically I ply video and sound to generate short, digestible, politically conscious video works, utilizing appropriated, or 'sampled' media as a means for re-evaluating contemporary society. Additionally, my work examines the manic construction and disruption of meaning found within consumer capitalism and its subsistence on the framework of economy rather than the individual. The videos are a montage of ideas and devices, owing as much to contemporary fine art traditions as academic ones. My audio work usually assists the videos; I tinker with instruments, all sounds finding their way in and out of a computer at some point. I received my BS in Anthropology from Loyola University in Chicago in 1995, and my MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1999. My artwork exhibits both in the US and internationally.
