I am Joan Llobera ( http://joan.llobera.name ). Currently my main activity is doing a PhD around (very interactive) narratives in immersive technologies, between Mel Slater’s group ( http://www.lsi.upc.edu/~melslater/ ) at Virtual Reality Center of UPC ( http://www.crvbcn.com/ ) and a private company called Starlab ( http://www.starlab.es ).
The overall PhD goal is to describe how to do (very) interactive environments that allow seamlessly free interaction by the human participant and the virtual characters in an immersive audiovisual space, while conserving a narrative in a strong sense. As well, it implies to adapt and develop tools for this purpose, and develop some small examples to illustrate it.
