BIO
Jeanie Dean is a performance poet, dance artist and a professor at a small college. He work has been published in local, regional and international publications or art programs.
She is the author of two books A New Alphabet (an e-book) and Ondine's Lament (Lament of the Water Spirit) which will be published in 2004 by the Mellen Poetry Press. The book is a series of letter poems addressed to Andre Breton the French poet and founder of Surrealism.
She appeared on Wisconsin and syndicated PBS television stations in 2003 reading a poem from Ondine's Lament, titled "The Sound". She published two critical essays "Re-seeding the Burnt Wasteland" (1999) about the poetry of W. S. Merwin, and "She Looks in the Mirror" (2002) about the film gaze, in Analecta Husserliana The Yearbook of Phenomenological Research.
