Gina Fuentes Walker layers plexiglas, glass and color transparencies to create small and large scale installations of the natural world.

Group and solo exhibitions of her work include gallery and site-specific installations in New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Italy and Germany. Informed by an academic and professional background in anthropology and documentary media, she has been awarded fellowships and residencies for her work from the Smithsonian Institution, Chashama and The Bronx Museum of the Arts. She is a resident artist at Chashama Studios in New York. Fuentes Walker lives and works in New York City.

Harlem artists are invited to exhibit and perform from their
studios, homes and galleries on May 6th + 7th, 2006 in the 2nd
Annual Harlem Open Artist Studio Tour/HOAST.

HOAST allows hundreds of neighborhood residents and visitors to see
where and how contemporary works of art are conceived. By
bringing visitors directly into artist studios, our goal is to
create an awareness of the culture of modern Harlem.
Listing fee: $30 per artist. Group rates available.
