After a hard run at the drag strip, there’s no question that automotive engines get blazing hot. The heat emitting from the engine, which is part of the internal engine combustion process, robs high performance cars from horsepower. Controlling this heat, with complex shielding, is possible but expensive and weighty. Exhaust wrap is the best option to reduce engine compartment heat by half or even more.

I personally found the titanium exhaust wrap rolls easy to apply. I ordered my titanium exhaust wrap at http://www.weberpowerproducts.com/titanium-header-exhaust-wrap-2-inch-by-50ft-p/dei-010127.htm because they had the best price. Although exhaust wrap does stink after bringing the engine up to normal operating temperature after installation, I can say for a fact that heat originating from the headers is significantly contained. Besides more horsepower, the added benefit is less heat exposure to other components in the engine compartment such as the starter, alternator and other electrical components that are sensitive to heat.
