Xtend - Dance for Camera 2008
Call for Submissions
As part of the annual Lift Off! Dance Festival at South Hill Park Arts Centre in March 2008, we will be screening a selection of video pieces that use Dance or human movement as central themes.
Xtend will present a curated series of video artworks, which will be projected large scale onto the wall of our Atrium bar area every evening from 2nd Feb-13th March 2008.
Artists are invited to send in submissions on DVD along with a completed application form which can be downloaded from : www.digitalmediacentre.org

Call for Artists
FRESH, a new-work platform hosted by South Hill Park, Bracknell (28 Jan +
cabaret nights 8, 22 Feb & 8 Mar), South Street, Reading (22 Apr) and
Farnham Maltings (29 Apr), is now open to submissions from artists working
in theatre, dance, live art, film, music, installation, cabaret or
multi-disciplinary practice.
FRESH is open to work at all stages of development and we will try to
accommodate ANY exciting proposal!
The FRESH platforms will feature post-show discussions, seminars led by key
supportive agencies and - hopefully - a contribution towards your travel.

The Digital Media Centre in Bracknell will have a loan of a Smart Board interactive whiteboard system during August and September. These systems, consisting of touch sensitive board, writing stylus, computer and data projector, are becoming widely used in Education.
We are offering this opportunity for digital artists to experiment with the system, which creates a remote touch screen interface for applications, enables electronic ink and handwriting recognition, allows remote playback of audio and video files and live recording and playback of actions.

Digital Artists/Educators Wanted

The new Digital Media Centre at South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell is currently recruiting for tutors and visiting artists for regular courses, workshops and seminars. Our Education programme will initially cover digital video, music, imaging, web design and digital printmaking, run from two Mac-based studios equipped with the full Adobe and Macromedia software suites, plus Final Cut Pro and CubaseSX.
We are particularly interested to hear from artists with specific uses of digital media in their artistic practice.
