Born in 1981 in Providence, RI, Dan Carlson graduated from the Fine Arts MFA Program at Parsons The New School for Design in 2010 after receiving various awards including the Chaim Gross Sculpture Scholarship, the Dean’s Graduate Scholarship, a Dedalus Foundation Fellowship Nomination, and a nomination for the International Sculpture Center Student Award. His sculptures, installations, videos, and drawings have recently been shown in venues such as Artist’s Space, PULSE NY, Verge Contemporary Art Fair, Grace Cathedral, and AT1 Projects. Dan lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
