A text based computer work. In an attempt to articulate personal life in computer point of view, chih-min chen translated a poem, written by Denise Burge, into Java language, the most prevailing programming language. This project started from the personal emails between Denise and chih-min – most of them are about the artists’ family and romance. Being inspired by the intimate communications, Denise wrote a touching poem. chih-min then translated the poem to Java. By imposing the grammar of Java on a poem, chih-min tried to abstracted himself from the work emotionally and rationally, and let computer explore the story by its own methodology.
