BIO
Carlos F. Carrillo Jr. Born: 1972, Wichita Falls, Texas.

Carlos began his fine art studies at Northwest Florida State College, Niceville, Florida. He then moved to Austin, Texas and studied independently, traditional life drawing at AMOA-Arthouse Laguna Gloria and sculpting from life at the Austin Sculpture Center (formally Elizabet Nay Sculpture Conservatory). Carlos finally settled in New York City and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts with Honors from the School of Visual Arts. Later he completed technology studies at InfoComm International and earned his (CTS) Certified Technology Specialist status. Carlos is both a video communications consultant and a fine artist and he combines art and technology to create sculptures and installations that transform physical spaces into immersive, multi-sensory engaging environments. Carlos’s installations evoke low-tech futuristic landscapes blended with a sense of nostalgia and childhood exploratory play. He exhibits in the greater New York City area and many of his artworks are housed in private collections through out the United States. Carlos currently lives and works in New York City with his wife and collaborator Yevgenia Davidoff.
