In 2007 I won a grant to learn how to make Clay Flutes and Naive Mexican Traditional Music. From the Institution for Cultural Partnership (ICP) and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA): I received a Master and Apprenticeship grant to learn how to make Clay Flutes and Naive Mexican Music with Master Xavier Quijas Yxayotl. Culminating in a presentation “The Fall of the Bellybutton of the Moon” festival, free for the public in Philadelphia PA.
