I felt rather betrayed today, then shifted from sore loser mode to thinking that maybe winning wasn't the point... then I thought about No Child Left Behind, The USA PATRIOT Act, Rod Paige declaring the National Education Association 'a bunch of terrorists,' and went from betrayed to numb. What happens if collectivity isn't enough?

www.untwine.net is an attempt to deterritorialize research related to net.art, art education, and critical new media theory. Untwine is the 'flickering' version of robert wilson sweeny's dissertation -- 'net_work_ed: tactics of simulation in cyberplaces and art educational spaces/ threads of a critical digital pedagogy -- recently completed within the department of Art Education at the Pennsylvania State University.
untwine will be the digital home for research related to blurred visions in the network society: cyborg sight, eye vs. I; flickering perception and the aesthetics of cloning; double vision, reflecting the panoptic gaze. Isn't it time that educators got with(in) the program?
