Arte Laguna and the Italian cultural association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art) are working together since 2006 on promoting contemporary visual Art. Main result of this collaboration is the International Art Prize ARTE LAGUNA.
The main purpose is to support emerging and also already affirmed artists, giving them the possibility to show their artworks in high quality expositive settings around the World.
There are 6 sections: painting, sculpture, photographic art, video art and performance, virtual art, land art.
Besides money prizes and a collective exhibition in Venice, Arte Laguna Prize offers to artist many opportunities such as art residencies, collaborations with companies, solo exhibitions in galleries and participation in international festivals.

The 7th International Arte Laguna Prize, based in Venice, Italy and dedicated to contemporary visual art, is open to artists with no limits of age or nationality, offering a finalists collective exhibition at Venice Arsenale, artist in residence programs, personal and collective exhibitions, participation in international festivals, publication in the official catalogue and a network of opportunities:

5 Cash Prizes of € 7,000: for winning artists, one for each section

4 Art Residencies: Technymon ARTresidency – Mumbai or Chicago; Glass School Abate Zanetti – Venice; Art Stays – Slovenia; iaab – Basel

1 Business for Art: development of an art project with the winner of the virtual art section, in collaboration with FOPEgioelli

2 Collective Exhibitions: Open, International Exhibitions of Sculptures and Installations of Venice; exhibition of a selection of Under25 artists at the Romanian Cultural Institute of Venice.

21 Personal Exhibitions in International Art Galleries:
Arte Laguna Prize has created a network of international galleries to introduce the artists to the market of Contemporary Art. Each gallery will select an artist to organize a personal exhibition.

The 6th International Arte Laguna Prize extends its deadline to the 30th of November for entries via postal service, and to the 6th December for entries online.

5 sections: painting, sculpture, photographic art, videoart and performance, virtual art.
Awards total amount: 170.000 EUR (aprox. 227502 USD)including 5 money Prizes, 6 Art Residencies, 2 Business for Art, 2 International Festivals, 26 Personal Exhibitions in International Art Galleries.
Furthermore 110 finalists will be chosen by an international jury for a collective exhibition in Venice, and their artworks will be published in a bilingual catalogue.
