Whalelane: call for visual and hypermedia submissions

Whalelane is looking for creative visual and hypermedia submissions, including digital and scans of static imagery in any media, hypertext fiction, interactive narratives, experimental short films and animation. All works will be considered for publication. However, please take the time to look through past visual and hybrid work published at Whalelane to get an idea of preferred content.
*Please do not send fractal imagery or work that is predominantly Photoshop layers/filters.
*Please do not send work that is not resolved or look like sketches for ideas.
*Please do not send photographs of people's faces.
Send images in .jpg or .gif format; Flash, Shockwave or Quicktime movies or URLs to artdirector@whalelane.com.
Include as part of your email your: name, email address, and the title(s) of your submission(s). You may include a short bio but it is not required. If your work is accepted, however, we will ask for one to include with publication. If you are sending a url, please specify which work you would like to be considered for Whalelane.

issue number 8 has been published and is currently

Issue 8 contains writing by Christopher Barnes, R.T.
Castleberry, Melanie Faith, Alan Girling, Brandon
Shiimoda, and John Sweet.
This issue also includes new media works by Esselia
Ferron, Dorothee Lang and Garret Lynch, as well as
books by sculptor Janet Goldner and the landscape
paintings of Nina Kuriloff.
Whalelane is a journal of writing, the visual arts, and experimental formats which merge narrative and image. With an eye towards fable, myth, the subliminal and surreal.

Issue 7 also features the poetry of Catherine Daly, Christopher Mulrooney, Chad Prevost, and Kathryn Rantala, with short fiction by Rodney Nelson.
Past contributors to Whalelane include Linden Ontjes, Suzanne Burns, Christopher Woods, Shirin Kouladjie, Alan Maxwell, Marc Tassel, Crankbunny, Babel, and Duc Thuan. These and all previous contributors can be found in the archives under 'writing,' 'visuals,' and 'hybrids.'

Whalelane releases issue No. 6
Whalelane celebrates it's first anniversary online with Issue No. 6. The March 15th issue presents poetry and fiction from Kevin Minh Allen, Ace Boggess, Dave Earnhardt, Carrie Heimer, Linden Ontjes and a lost haiku from the lost Carl Harte as recollected by David Kozubei.
Visual artists in the journal include Sheila Ernst-Bifano, Claudio Parentela, and Josh Rickenbach. An interactive work by Mez and a soon-to-be award winning animation by Crankbunny round out the issue in the Hybrid section.
