Mark is an American artist born in Upstate NY.
A practicing artist, he is currently an MFA Candidate in the University at Buffalo's Visual Studies and Emerging Practices program with an expected completion date of May 2014. He received his undergraduate degree from Alfred University in 1996.
Currently Mark is studying with Steve Kurtz of the Critical Art Ensemble (CAE), Bio-artist Paul Vanouse, interactive artist Stephanie Rothenberg, fine artist and curator Joan Linder, conceptual artist and sublime punk rocker Gary Nickard, renowned sculptor Reinhard Reitzenstein, performance artist and painter George Hughs, graphic novelist John Jennings and typographical sculptor Ben Van Dyke.
Mark's works have been shown in large cities and small towns through out the United States including Boston and New York City. His works and writings have been published in Leonardo Magazine and Big Red and Shiny. During his solo show from the 2001 CyberArts Festival in Boston, he was singled out by the Boston Globe and praised by their art critic Cate McQuaid.
